Fudge

1 ½ cups sugar
2/3 cups (5 oz.) evaporated milk
2 Tbsp. butter
¼ tsp. salt
2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 ½ cups (9 oz.) Chocolate Chips*
½ cup nuts (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla

Line 8 inch square pan with foil
Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter and salt in medium heavy duty sauce pan.
Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat stirring constantly.
Boil, stirring constantly for 4 to 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in marshmallows, chocolate chips, nuts, and vanilla.
Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted.
Pour into prepared baking pan.
Refrigerator for 2 hours or until firm.
Lift foil from pan and cut into pieces.

Makes 49 servings

*sweetness of chips determines sweetness of fudge. It is also really good with butterscotch or peanut butter chips
